My life has always been surrounded by aviation as my father worked at the Westland Helicopter factory for many Years Living in Yeovil, Somerset in South West England.

Living close to Westland’s and RNAS Yeovilton I can remember going to the Annual Air Days during the 1980s. I also witnessed many test flights as the 9 prototype EH101 Merlin Helicopters entered development. These were often seen above the Town of Yeovil.

In 2006, the last Fleet Air Arm squadron at RNAS Yeovilton to operate the Sea Harrier, 801 Naval Air Squadron disbanded and since then I have decided to travel the World photographing as much as possible. My photography and travelling passion has grown and now my priority is to spend time on location to capture Military Aviation on exercise and training flights.

My aim is to show the aircraft in a working environment, often with unique backdrops.

As well as my websites I have had photos published in Aviation Magazines, Including Air Forces Monthly, Combat Aircraft and Air International.

In 2014 I had a photo exhibition in the local Octagon Theatre

I also post on Airliners.net, Airfighters.com and the UKAR Web Forum.

My current camera kit includes the

Canon 6 and 7D mk2 cameras, as well as 14,20,24,85, 70-300 and 400mm lens.

Rotorblur.co.uk will run alongside my sister website vlnphotography.co.uk

This website will be dedicated to Military Helicopter photography.
